Kashmir Apple

India is the 5th largest producer of Apples in the world. First produced back in 1865 on the hills of Himachal Pradesh by British cultivators, Apple cultivation in India grew from the state Kashmir, since 1917. Kashmir, amongst other apple producing States, is most popular for its unique sweet taste and lack of any acidic essence in it. Kashmir produces approximately 35% of apple in India and the rest by Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal and few more states.
